These lesson plans are adapted from Module 3A Unit 1 of the EngageNY Grade 5 curriculum.
The lesson plans follow the Reading Workshop model and can be edited to fit your particular students' needs. (Each lesson consists of an Aim, Standards, Teach/Model, Active Engagement, Independent Work, and Share).
Most of the independent work was taken from either ReadWorks or the Grade 5 Coach Plus book in order to match the aim of the lesson but you can edit as needed.
