Let’s face it, our time can be stretched so thin as SLPs, yet we all desire to give our students the best therapy possible. Materials that help us do our best while “on the go” are crucial. In my own practice, I love the flexibility of having a small, tangible photo book or tablet that I can grab on a moment’s notice and take to the classroom, hallway, or playground. This is the idea behind the “Grab & Go Artic” series: quick, accessible, and effective materials for on-the-go SLPs.
Print- Cut out screening pictures and place in a 4x6 inch photo album.
No Print- Open the PDF file on your favorite tablet or computer and slide through the pictures.
This “quick screening” is designed to be used as an articulation screening with students/clients of various ages. Though every Standard American English phoneme is included in the screening, not every phoneme is elicited in every position. Some phonemes have multiple opportunities for elicitation during the screening. A printable data collection sheet is available as a separate FREE download, as well as a phoneme tracking sheet and key to help analyze speech production patterns.
*“Grab & Go Artic-Quick Screening” is an informal speech screening tool that has not been standardized.
