This pack is perfect for students working on expanding utterances AND vocabulary skills! The EXPANDING UTTERANCES TASK CARDS are for the following word combinations: TWO WORD UTTERANCES include noun + verb, verb + noun, and adjective + noun. THREE WORD UTTERANCES include noun + verb + noun, verb + adjective + noun, and adjective + noun + verb. All task cards have VISUAL ANSWER CHOICES and are numbered to easily take data on the provided data sheets.

There are vocabulary cards for the following areas: NOUNS, VERBS, ADJECTIVES, PRONOUNS, & ARTICLES. The vocabulary cards can be used for both expressive and receptive identification (a great precursor for beginning to combine two or more words). For example, show your student one card at a time (for expressive identification) and ask “What is this?” or for receptive tasks, present two or more cards to your student and say, “Find the balloon”.

Use the sentence strips in combination with the provided vocabulary cards to target expanding utterances (4, 5, 6 words). There are also question & description cards which can also be used with the sentence strips.

Each set of cards can be used for on-the-go therapy, RTI, centers, and in-class therapy sessions. Students can use magnetic chips, bingo daubers, play-doh, or markers to choose the correct answers. The provided data sheets allow for easy progress monitoring throughout the year for all task cards. The black and white flashcards along with a parent/guardian letter are ideal for homework and carryover.
