Grab the Pie is an engaging high interest way for students to develop a conceptual understanding of fractions. This problem solving game offers a non-explicit way for students to identify and compare fractions. This game is also self-differentiating, since students are able to claim a fraction in any form. This activity can be used as a center, collaborative learning activity, enrichment, remediation, extra time activity, and/or indoor recess.
