This is an 8 page assessment that includes a rubric to assess 3D geometry in grade 1 based on the Ontario curriculum. The assessment is divided into 4 sections: understanding, problem solving, communication, application. In this assessment, students will be tested on their ability to:
-identify different 3D solids (prism, pyramid, cone, cube, sphere, cylinider) and real-life objects that look like these solids.
-distinguish between a prism and a pyramid.
-sort 3D solids on a venn diagram, given the labels.
-identify which solid is being described based on clues given.
-compare 3D solids - how are they the same? different?
