Product Description
Here's 24 math sheets that offer practice for CCSS first quarter skills. (And each page offers multiple standards for the kids to practice!) Because it usually takes a long time for new first graders to become "number sense fluent", this set focuses HEAVILY on number recognition to 120, sequencing numbers to 120, beginning addition and subtraction using pictures and numbers, number and number word recognition (I threw some color words in there too), I put these sheets in sheet protectors for students to use with dry erase markers over and over for independent math practice or as early finisher work. They help me to assess students for individual mastery and remediation. Other teachers also use them for homework or classwork.
CCSS Standards Covered (first quarter skills in ( ) if applicable):
1.OA.1 Addition and Subtraction of Whole Numbers (within 10 as it relates to objects and drawings and numbers)
1.OA.3 Apply properties of operations of strategies to add and subtract (as it connects to objects and drawings and numbers)
1.OA.5 Add and subtract within 20 (counting all, counting on, and counting back within 10)
1.OA.6 Add and subtract within 20, but demonstrating fluency within 10 ( fluency with +/- 1, +/- 10)
1.OA.7 Understand the meaning of the equal sign and determine if +/- equations are true or false (using objects and drawings)
1.NBT.1 Extend the counting sequence (to 120)

My second quarter sheets add lots of new CCSS skills as well as extend the skills already learned. You can find them here http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Shelley-Shuler
