Saskatchewan Grade 1 Math Patterns Unit Plan
This unit plan is 100% aligned with the Saskatchewan math curriculum for patterns in grade 1. Outcomes P1.1, P1.2, P1.3, and P1.4 are covered thoroughly in this resource.
This recourse includes a fully detailed lesson plan that includes a fun movement based activity that relates to the curriculum.
Each lesson comes with a whole group lesson, which also comes with an assistant page for every student to have one that gives details on everything they need to know for that lesson as well as practice question(s) for students to complete individually and go over as a class. This is great to check for understanding and give students confidence before they begin their independent work.
Each lesson comes with 1-2 pages of independent work to do during class time. Each lesson also comes with a homework page that is used to show their parents/guardians what they learned in math that day. This encourages parent involvement and does not leave questioning about what their child is learning or their understanding of what they are learning.
This plan also comes with an assessment to use for a summative assessment to use for report card marks.
