The kids have so much fun playing educational game that they don't even know they are learning!
★Create dozens of different versions of Bingo
★With 45 different Vowel Vowel Cards
★3 different Bingo Mats
★Vowel Vowel Poster
In most bingo games, words are already printed on the mats, so students only have to read the words when they play.
But in this kit, students must read and write
, so learning is reinforced
. Students practice both decoding (sounding out) and encoding (spelling) phonetic words and word parts. They may also pick up some words by sight along the way!
There are two main parts to the game:
1. Students create their own Bingo Mats by writing words or syllables in each square.
2. Students play the game by taking turns reading the randomly-drawn Vowel Vowel Word Cards, and marking the words on their individual mats.
This reading and spelling game provides wonderful opportunities to review or introduce:
-the terms letter, word, vowel, consonant
-the long vowel sounds and silent letters
-blends and consonant digraphs
The words have been carefully chosen with attention to balancing vowels, consonants, and consonant combinations.
The duration of the game will vary between about 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the materials you use and the needs of your students.
Enjoy the game!
