There are 5 stations for students to explore the relationships between temperature, pressure, and volume.

Lab equipment/materials required:

  • Station 1: hot plate, Erlenmeyer flask, balloon
  • Station 2: syringe, marshmallow
  • Station 3: hot plate, tongs, empty soda can, ice water bath
  • Station 4: pop bottle, eye dropper
  • Station 5: retort stand, utility clamp, graduated cylinders (10mL & 100mL), water trough, test tube with stopper and rubber tubing, vinegar, baking soda, scale
