- Middle of the Year Basic Facts Assessment (One Addition, One Subtraction, One Multiplication, One Division)
- End of Year Basic Facts Assessment (One Addition, One Subtraction, One Multiplication, One Division)
- Student Rubric for each grouped assessment

Outcomes Assessed (Alberta Curricular Content)
Test 1 – Students will recall addition and related subtraction facts to 10
Test 2 & 3 – Students will recall addition and related subtraction facts to 18, Students will recall multiplication and related division to 5 x 5

Test 1
- Give both the Test 1 Addition and Test 1 Subtraction at the BEGINNING of Grade 3
- These are Basic Operation Recall Skills that the student should have by the end of Grade 2
- Allow for 2 minutes to completed each test
- As students are writing, make notes on student rubrics. Ex. Sally is using her fingers

Test 2
- Give both the Test 2 Addition and Test 2 Subtraction at the MIDDLE of Grade 3
- Give both the Test 2 Multiplication and Test 2 Division at the MIDDLE of Grade 3
- These are Basic Operation Recall Skills that the student should have by IN THE MIDDLE OF Grade 3
- Allow for 2 minutes to completed each test
- As students are writing, make notes on student rubrics. Ex. Sally is using her fingers


Test 3
- Give both the Test 3 Addition and Test 3 Subtraction at the END of Grade 3
- Give both the Test 2 Multiplication and Test 2 Division at the END of Grade 3
- These are Basic Operation Recall Skills that the student should have by the end of Grade 3
- Allow for 2 minutes to completed each test
- As students are writing, make notes on student rubrics. Ex. Sally is using her fingers
