All of the problems in my multi-grade database of 42,000+ fall into various categories (construction, word problem, multiple choice, etc) and the CONSTRUCTION category is covered here. This may involve constructing an example of a concept or a diagram.
The problems included here are simply a sampling of the total number available.
This can be used as a lesson plan for a substitute teacher or as "problem of the day" source material or as review material at any point or as additional material for getting any relevant concept across as you go through the academic year.
I, personally, have focused greatly on problems like these because they force students to really think!
Look at the PREVIEW (and the 4 snapshots) to get an idea of the entire set of problems. There are some for every Common Core domain that grade 3 covers.
[The problems in All WORKSHEETS and PREVIEWS are printed in difficulty (1 [easy], 2 [not so easy], 3 [proficiency] up to 4 [mastery]) order within a skill. The actual difficulty level appears slightly to the left of the DK box of each problem in a very small font. Also, instructional references appear on worksheets but are optional on quizzes.]
