These are all six lessons bundled together for the Changing the World unit of study by Lucy Calkins and Kelly Boland Hohne. I modified the lessons slightly, including a link to a persuasive speech video written by a student, as all as a graphic organizer for students who need more structure. I also included some materials to make anchor charts, as well as images of anchor charts you can use in your classroom. These lessons are not meant to replace the lessons in the guide; it is important to read those because they give a more detailed picture of how the workshop may go. This is for teachers like me who are using the program and still need a formal lesson plan written up. These lessons include all components, including the common core standards. You can modify them to accommodate your teaching style, and your students’ needs. The mid workshop teaching point isn’t included because it can go differently in every classroom, and therefore needs to be addressed with the needs of the students in mind.
