PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

THE OVERALL PURPOSE OF THIS ENTIRE PRODUCT IS TO GIVE YOU IDEAS AND INSPIRATION IN TEACHING GRADE 3 MATH THAT HAVE PROVEN TO BE USEFUL TO ME. Actual units with multiple problem sets with teaching guides and several quizzing options are also available.

Included are:

1. A Summary in the standard Common Core format of all of the skills and (2,985 as of 5/6/2016) problems that are attached to the grade 3 Standards with its 5 domains (OA, NBT, NF, MD and G). My hope is that you will want to pursue further this unique (and inexpensive) approach to teaching math--the approach I have felt forced to create after seeing other approaches falling short of the mark.

2. TWO end-of-year 30 question quizzes/finals/summaries of DOMAIN OA. The first is comprised of questions of difficulty levels 1 and 2 (easier) and the second is of difficulty levels 3 and 4 (harder). These questions cut across all standards within the domain and can serve as a check by you of whether you have covered adequately, and in depth, the domain. They can also be used for assessment as the answers are provided separately.

3. TWO end-of-year 25 question quizzes/finals/summaries of DOMAIN NBT.

4. TWO end-of-year 25 question quizzes/finals/summaries of DOMAIN NF.

5. TWO end-of-year 25 question quizzes/finals/summaries of DOMAIN MD.

6. TWO end-of-year 25 question quizzes/finals/summaries of DOMAIN G.

All of the foregoing is based on the now-9 year project I have been on since 2007 in constructing imaginative and engaging math curricula for my school. The constant emphasis has been to explain more, have the students think more, have them construct more and, finally, have them grow more.

The courses themselves are based on easily duplicated PDFs (one for each chapter) that include several possible quizzes for each of the chapters and several possible final exams.

The Preview is limited to problems that have the word "area" included.

[The problems in All WORKSHEETS and PREVIEWS are printed in difficulty (1 [easy], 2 [not so easy], 3 [proficiency] up to 4 [mastery]) order within a skill. The actual difficulty level appears slightly to the left of the DK box of each problem in a very small font. Also, instructional references appear on worksheets but are optional on quizzes.]

RELATED ITEMS:
You might also want to check out CONSTRUCTION problems , LEVEL 4 (challenging) questions , MENTAL MATH problems , MATH PUZZLERS or the MULTIPLICATION and DIVISION Drills for the 3rd grade.

RELATED BUNDLES: as of this writing I have the GRADE 3 FRACTIONS BUNDLE available.

RELATED STAND-ALONE UNITS (as of this writing):
Additionally, the following units on FRACTIONS have been devised that include a lot of shading, diagrams and exercises: ( UNIT 1: an introduction to fractions , UNIT 2: equivalent fractions and UNIT 3 (and the final 3rd grade unit on fractions): the Number Line .

RELATED DOMAINS for Grade 3:
You might also want to look at the 5 domains common to the 3rd grade: the MD (Measurement) domain , the NBT (Number & Operations) domain , the OA (Operations & Algebraic) domain , the G (Geometry) domain and, finally, the NF (Fractions) domain (for which the actual units are listed above).
