Do your students struggle with comprehension? Would a comprehension power goals help your students? This packet is a step by step resource that will help your students gradually grow so that they are able to determine character traits and explain how their actions contribute to the sequence of events. They will progress through the following sequence: task cards, short stories, picture books, and chapter books. All the activities will focus on helping your students learn to identify major character traits. Your students will also learn how these character traits affect the rest of the story. An assessment is provided at the end to help show you if your students have mastered this standard.
