I like to use Zearn as a supplement to my math program. I teach the Eureka Math lesson and we complete the application problem together in class. When my students aren't working on their Practice Page or working with me, they get on Zearn to complete the Fluency and Tower of Power tasks on Zearn for extra practice. They have the option of doing the Guided Math Chats. In this log, I do list the Concept Development as a Zearn Lesson like "Zearn Lesson 1". If you teach the concept development then students may still check mark this box even if they haven't completed the concept development on Zearn. I do this because I often get students who need an accelerated program and need to be allowed to work at their own pace without my constant supervision.
These logs help me to see how much progress my students have made. The final page in this document is a Student Log. As they pass or complete lessons, we discuss their progress together. When they complete a topic they take a topic quiz. Afterward I decide which color, based on the color code included, to fill in each box with the student. When all boxes are green, or mastery) then the student knows they have mastered the topics they need to know in that Module.
This system allows my students to be working at differentiated levels. Some students may work more slowly, which works well for them. Those who need a faster progression may progress more quickly to keep them enriched and moving forward.
This log helps the students and myself see how much progress they are making and we can set goals together. It makes a great data tracker guided math or rotations in the classroom.
