The “Grade 3 Ontario End of Year Math Assessment Test" is designed to be used at the end of the year to identify the math knowledge that students have gained from the Grade 3 class. This assessment test assess’ students’ knowledge of the Grade 3 Mathematics curriculum specific expectations.
There are several ways to use this test:
You can break up the test over several days by questions (e.g., complete questions 1 – 10 on day 1) and so on.
You can pick and choose the questions you want students to complete.
You can have students complete the specific strand you are beginning with first and slowly continue on with the assessment test as time progresses.
How you use this test is up to you. The goal of this test is to give you an idea as to where each student is in terms of math knowledge and identify the skills that might need more reviewing (e.g., addition, representing numbers).
