This math assessment is aligned with the Ontario Math Curriculum and is designed to compliment the Simcoe County District School Board's new math Course of Study. It covers material from the forth unit of the Course of Study and covers all of the Overall Expectations for this unit, a detailed breakdown of which can be found below. Assessment for this quiz is done based on the Ontario Math Curriculum achievement chart in the areas of Knowledge, Thinking and Application.

Overall Expectations


Quantity (3m8) - read, represent, compare, and order whole numbers to 100 and use concrete materials to represent fractions and money amounts to 100 cents (3m11,3m13, 3m14, 3m18, 3m19) Questions 1, 2, 4 and 5

Counting (2m9) - demonstrate an understanding of magnitude by counting forward to 200 and backwards from 50 using multiples of various numbers as starting points (3m21, 3m22) Question 6

Operational Sense (3m10) - solve problems involving the addition and subtraction of single - and multi-digit whole numbers, using a variety of strategies, and demonstrate an understanding of multiplication and division (3m23, 3m24, 3m25, 3m26) Questions 1 and 3 along with Thinking and Application Questions
