The material you are about to access is suitable for ESL teachers. It is in alphabetical order (a-w) and a total of 484 words.
This ‘vocabulary’ entry is designed so that you, the teacher or tutor, could copy and paste in your preferred learning activity. Some of the ways you can use ‘Sight words or Dolch List’ include the followings:
-introduce words on List by definition; aid learners’ understanding by using the word(s) in a couple of simple sentences (appropriate to your learners) they can relate to
-print (in the order you want) on a flash card and have students read after you to improve pronunciation.
-trace printed word on flash card with your finger as you pronounce and have students do the same (it helps learners to build on or develop ‘phonemic awareness’).
You may choose to integrate the List in your daily or weekly instructional routine to enhance learners’ vocabulary.
