This is the second booklet I use with my Grade 4s throughout my Addition and Subtraction Unit. (See my store for my first booklet: Grade 4 Addition and Subtraction Centers- Making Tens with Hundreds). This is something that I have my students work on if they finish the main lesson’s activity early. It is something that makes those “early finisher” less work! My students know that when they are finished their math task, they are to work on their Jurassic Park. This allows them to have that rote practice but makes it a bit more fun!
-Activities involving a review of base ten skills (breaking down 3-digit and 4-digit numbers)
-Activities involving concepts with "Left to Right Addition" or "Front End Addition"
-Cut and paste with cute Clip Art
-Engaging games (involving hunting for numbers and rolling dice!)
-Reflection on the strategy
-Matching cards with recording sheet
-Task cards with simple word problems involving addition
Thank you and enjoy :)
