Students will read a fictional passage about a family's trip to the zoo. The story gets exciting when one family member mysteriously disappears. The second text is the schedule for the "big cats" at the zoo which figures into the story.

The passage and schedule are followed by a series of multiple choice questions aligned with various strands of the CCSS Grade 4 English Language Arts Standards for Reading.
