A fun way to get students moving but also applying their knowledge of Core French Basics. Typically done after a review unit, but you could hand it out on first day to see what they know and then do it again after the review unit to see how your review unit helped each student. You can do this activity by either just sending a class around the school individually or in partners to answer the questions. I have also done this where I have paired a senior class with a primary class. Since review unit is done in September for my school, I typically allow inside and outside if I am able to get with a teacher assistant so that one of us is in the school and the other is outside. I do an all call in school to return to classroom when time is up, and one teacher does a loop on outside playgrounds sending all students back in. Senior students return the primary students to their classroom before returning back to my French classroom. There's an attached wordsearch for students who finish before time is up. The direction is given that if done before time is up, they find a place quietly in school to sit with their primary partner and work to complete the wordsearch together. They may borrow my Review Textbook that I keep in duotangs to look up the questions. Make sure to not print the last page as it is an answer key for your needs.
