Students will read an informational text about Sarah Breedlove, more popularly known as Madam C. J. Walker -- the first African American woman to become a millionaire.
The story is followed by a series of multiple choice questions aligned with various strands of the CCSS Grade 5 English Language Arts Standards for Reading.
Those strands are:
