As of 2013, Minnesota has not adopted the Common Core Standards for Mathematics. The Minnesota Standards for Mathematics differ slightly from the Common Core Standards for Mathematics. Therefore, if you are are planning to make a bulletin board or other visuals to display, take it from The Midwest Educator and make sure you are using the 2007 MN version! These can be printed 8 1/2 by 11 inches or 2 per page. Since there are 27 standards in Grade 5, the smaller version is nice for a year-long bulletin board.
The text is not written in I Can statements, thus you can be assured that the posters accurately represent each MN standard.
Strand headers are color coded and standard reference numbers are on each sheet. The four Minnesota strands are Number and Operations, Algebra, Geometry and Measurement, and Data Analysis.
