My students love 4 Corners games in the classroom! Get your students up and moving around with this game designed to add spiral review, practice, or remediation to your Math resources!
This can be a great way to review adding and multiplying mixed numbers for upcoming state testing.
Common Core Grade 5 Numbers and Operations- Fractions Standards are referenced, along with Pennsylvania Core Numbers and Operations- Fractions Grade 5 Eligible Content correlation.
Display the first question slide from my PowerPoint file on your Smartboard. Wait until all students have a solution, given about 2 minutes for each problem, and ask them to stand by the letter of the multiple choice answer selected.
We play 4 Corners games frequently. So, I hung wooden A, B, C, D alphabet letters painted to compliment my classroom walls. Simply writing each of those 4 alphabet letters on paper and hanging in designated spots of your classroom works just as well.
Students can solve problems using the Recording Sheet I've included in the product file, scrap paper, individual whiteboards, or printed copies of the PowerPoint slides.
Using that 2 minute wait time per problem, gave a bit more accountability as well; students had to work through the problems rather than going and standing by an alphabet letter with a friend or early finisher.
Each of the 8 question slides is followed by an answer slide.
