The “Numbers to 1,000,000” activity packet is designed to provide students with practice in terms of comparing, ordering and representing numbers to 1,000,000. This activity packet is designed to meet the specific expectations outlined in the Ontario curriculum. The specific expectations that this packet addresses are as follows:
- Represent, compare, and order whole numbers and decimal numbers from 0.001 to 1,000,000;
- Demonstrate an understanding of place value in whole numbers and decimal numbers from 0.001 to 1,000,000;
- Read and print in words whole numbers to one hundred thousand;
This activity packet includes lesson plans, activity worksheets, model templates and additional activities that can be used to meet the above expectations. Each lesson has a learning goal that either stems directly from the Ontario Mathematics curriculum or it might stem from a particular concept that is being addressed in the lesson.
