Grade 7: Measurement
We offer 29 outstanding measurement activities that provide teachers with the fundamentals that are essential for good instruction. Learning how to measure and compare is an important life skill that encompasses multiple concepts of length, perimeter, area, and volume of two-and three-dimensional figures. Your students will develop a strong understanding of measurement using rulers to measure in both inches and centimeters. Students will also learn how to use formulas appropriately from consistent measurement experiences. Our measurement worksheets allow students to practice key skills. Using our activities to teach your students measurement concepts can make concepts much easier to understand.
Grade 7 Measurement activities enable students to —
Estimate measurements and solve application problems
involving length (including perimeter and circumference) and area
of polygons and other shapes.
Estimate measurements and solve application problems involving
volume of prisms (rectangular and triangular) and cylinders.
The activities can be used to Assess concepts, Introduce concepts, Review concepts, and to help students Retain the concepts that have been taught. Our Math Activities can be used in a variety of ways to “AIRR” out your math curriculum. Section One contains a numbered list of activities. Each activity is explained using a step-by-step process identifying the group size and materials needed to complete the task. Some of the activities have matching activity cards and practice sheets which are found in Section Two, Activity Sheets. The top right side of each set of activity cards, and practice sheet corresponds with the matching activity number. An answer key is conveniently provided in Section Three.
