Students read Stranger Than Fiction by Marie Devers, which is a story about family members who try to one-up each other with their creative tales. The story is followed by a series of multiple choice and open-ended questions aligned with various strands of the CCSS Grade 8 English Language Arts Standards for Reading and Language.
