Students read The Sloppy Spy by Rebecca Sparling, which is a story about a girl who wants to be an FBI agent and her surprising discovery. The story is followed by a series of multiple choice and open-ended questions aligned with various strands of the CCSS Grade 8 English Language Arts Standards for Reading and Language.
