Product Description

A final exam for grade 9/10 if students have used To Kill a Mockingbird and Of Mice and Men. Includes unit terms, short answers and a short five paragraph essay (done in a graphic organizer).

Section 1: Unit Terms [20pts]

Be ready to give your own definitions of the following words; study definitions from former PPTs. Write 2-4 sentences that include your definition of the term and provide an example of the term. 4 points each; 5 unit terms.

Section 2: Short Answers on OMAM, TKAM, and Unit Terms [30pts]

Write 5-8 sentences to answer basic short answer questions about both books and our unit terms (related to the book); you will answer 4 questions total (5 points each). These will be about major plot points, themes, or ideas. Though there will be 4 questions total, I will give you 3 ahead of time to prepare for, so that you can review your notes and our activities on Google Classroom. 1 will be new on the final exam.

Section 3: 5-Paragraph Essay Graphic Organizer and Thesis [35 pts]

You will be given two possible prompts - related to TKAM - which you will need to complete a full graphic organizer for three body paragraphs; circle with number you want to write about. You’ll need 3 citations per paragraph; 3 points of evidence, a thesis/topic sentence, and a concluding sentence are necessary in each body paragraph. You will also fully write out an introductory paragraph and a concluding paragraph. Each body paragraph is worth 10 points each (i.e. the topic sentence/thesis, each body paragraph, and the concluding sentence); the thesis of the whole essay is worth 5 points.
