The portfolio is designed to cover many areas of Drama that classes do not have enough time to cover as a unit, but are still very important to the curriculum. Students have nine sections in their portfolio that they complete independently and for homework - due every other Friday.
Topics include: Theatre Genre and Style, Theatre History, Conventions and Forms, Technological Tools, Analyzing Dramatic Works, Play Review, Drama and Society, Beyond Class, and Careers and Opportunities.
Each grade level of Drama has their own portfolio, all on the same main topics, but with different questions each year. That way, as students continue through the course, they are adding onto their knowledge and inquiry of theatre arts. The portfolio is a great way to ensure ongoing literacy in the Drama class.
