Students will have to name and write two fractions for each given picture (including halves, thirds, fourths, sixths, eighths, and a whole; as well as an opportunity to create their very own. This booklet involves little prep, just print, cut, staple, and go!
Identifying Fractions Worksheet 3.NF.A.1
Students will have to color the correct pictures that represent a fraction, remembering that fractions are broken into equal parts. This worksheet is no prep and comes with an answer key.
Grade Three Math: Naming Fractions Worksheet 3.NF.A.1 and 3.NF.A.3.B
Students will have to correctly name the given fraction using numbers and words. Version one includes fractions in halves, fourths, fifths, sixths, eighths, and a whole. The second version is a cut and paste worksheet. Students will have to cut the correct fraction number and words and paste it to match the correct fraction picture. Fractions in this version include: halves, fourths, fifths, sixths, and a whole.
Grade Three/Four Math: Pizza Party Fraction Worksheets 3.NF.A.1, 3.NF.A.3.D
Includes four real life word problems/scenarios that students must solve using fractions. Students will have to divide the pizza into equal parts to represent fractions in sixths and fourths. It also includes a pizza already split into equal parts for children who have trouble with fine motor and organization skills. The printable no prep worksheet also includes a question sheet where students will have to represent their fractions in numbers and words and come up with their own question for a friend to solve.
Roll-a-Fraction Math Dice Game 3.NF.A.1, 3.NF.A.3.B
The first version students will have to roll 2 dice and make a fraction out of the two numbers, and color it on the game board. The first person to color all of their fractions is the winner! Also includes a version with the fraction numbers on the game board.
Grade Three/Four Math: Comparing Fractions Worksheet 3.NF.A.1, 3.NF.A.3.D.
Color in the correct number of pieces of the chocolate bar, which is represented by tenths, to represent the two given fractions, then use the greater than or less than sign to compare the two fractions. The second version is similar but uses pizzas broken into fourths.
Grade Three/Four Math: Fraction Unit Assessment Worksheets
This assessment evaluates all of the previous worksheets. Students will have to color the pieces of a fraction to represent the given fraction, name the numerator and denominator of a colored fraction that is provided, compare fractions with common and uncommon denominators and explain if a given picture is a fraction using words. They will also have to order fractions (in eighths) from least to greatest (given a visual to help them) and solve a real life scenario word problem using pictures, numbers, and words.
