The Grades 4 - 8: Peer Feedback Writing Form
is a single form that is designed to provide students with spaces to reflect on and give feedback to others' writing pieces.
It is often difficult for students to understand what type of feedback to give their peers while completing the peer editing process. While it is important to note the mechanical errors that students make, it is also important for students to help each other improve their writing whenever possible. This will not only improve students’ overall ability to write, but it will also help to encourage students to pay attention to the feedback being given to them, and to work on incorporating the feedback into their writing.
What is Included?
There are two versions of the feedback forms provided. One is a half sheet, and the other is a full page feedback form. Students are asked to staple the feedback page (no matter which one it is) to the back of their writing. You, as the teacher, can then check over the feedback and ensure that students are a) giving each other meaningful and descriptive feedback and b) make sure that students are using the feedback to improve their writing.
