6th-8th Grade Mini Assessment and Extended Response Performance Task
Students will compare and contrast the structure of two or more texts and analyze how the differing structure of each text contributes to its meaning and style.
This includes the following items:
Poem for analysis
Open-ended questions for central idea, impact on meaning, and point of view
Authentic text excerpt
Open-ended questions for point of view, making inferences based on evidence, and dialogue/actions propelling the plot
Performance task that requires students to compare and contrast the structures of each and analyze how the differing structures contribute to its meaning and style
