Have your students critique the presidents on what they view as ideal presidential leadership. With this project, students create criteria to "grade" each of the seven roles of the president and then apply this to a president that they research. Students can present their findings in the form of a digital report card while their peers compare presidents during the presentations. This activity helps incorporate both US history and government concepts to create a dynamic project-based learning lesson.
Purchase includes: student directions; rubric; scaffolds to aid student thinking; presentation recording sheet for students; sample presentation slides and essay; and teacher question script for post-presentation discussion.
