These differentiated task cards were designed to help your students gain an understanding of adjectives and how to identify them in a sentence. They have been created with several purposes in mind.
1. Differentiated Literacy Groups –
*Above Level – Students will read the sentence, identify the adjective, and classify the adjective based on size, shape, or number.
*On level – Students will read the sentence, identify the adjective from three multiple choice options, and classify the adjective based on size, shape, or number.
*Below level – Students will read the sentence, identify the adjective from two multiple choice options, and classify the adjective based on size, shape, or number.
2. Scoot Game – Scoot recording sheets and directions are provided in this download; however, you will need to write the number with a Sharpie on the desired amount of cards you want to use with your class.
3. Kagan Structure of Teachers Choice – Mix, Pair, Share; Quiz Quiz Trade; Fan and Pick, etc. (You will probably want to write the correct answer on the back of the task card so the students will accurately report to their peers.)
