A board game to teach understanding of present, past, and future tenses.
Before a child can express correct verb tenses in their daily speech, they must first understand the tenses. They must learn to listen and watch for the subtle changes affecting the word and pick up on those cues. This activity teaches the child how to see and hear those changes in a fun little game format. They work their way around the game board by identifying the tense of the verb illustrated and stated on the card to advance to that spot on the board. Each card has a multiple choice of the three verb tenses.
The game lends itself to teachable moments. How to use these moments to teach verb tense cues is explained in the game instructions which is included.
