Literacy Groups: These cards may be used for leveled groups. The first set of task cards is for your students that are above grade level. They are expected to read a sentence, identify the adverb, and tell whether it describes how, when, or where, the action of the sentence takes place. The second set is for your students that are on grade level. The sentence has three words underlined, and they must decide which word is the adverb. The students then will tell if the adverb describes how, when, or where the action is taking place. The last set is for your students that are below grade level. These task cards have a sentence with only two words underlined. The students will decide which word is the adverb and then whether it is describing how, when, or where the action is taking place.
