Need a fun way to review and asses the different parts of speech? Here are 12 quick drills that cover nouns, pronouns, adjectives, verbs, and adverbs.
I used these quizzes at the end of the school year, testing my students one to two times a week. I gave my students a certain amount of time to complete each quiz. They were only able to go on to the next quiz if they passed with a 100%. Think of these like timed math drills, but for grammar!
To make these quizzes more fun and competitive to the students, I dedicated a bulletin board for students to be able to see and track their progress (see picture included in the preview file).
Here is what is included:
-12 different quizzes of 10 sentences each.
-2 quizzes on nouns, 2 quizzes on nouns and pronouns, 2 quizzes on adjectives, 2 quizzes on verbs, 2 quizzes on adverbs, and 2 review quizzes covering all of the above.
-Answers for all quizzes.
-3 different sized soccer balls for bulletin boards.
My students really enjoyed these. They helped make grammar more interesting and engaging, especially to my ESL kiddos. I hope you and your students enjoy them too!
