This Grammar Guru packet is a one-week, kid-friendly grammar unit. This unit focuses on using commas to separate addresses, dates, and the salutations/closings found in letters.
During this grammar week, students will learn that commas are used to separate two or more parts of an address. Students will also learn that a comma separates two or more parts of a date as long as both parts of the date are either words or numbers. In addition, students will learn what salutations and closings are in friendly and/or business letter, and they will learn how a comma separates them from other parts of the letter.
