Grammar- Parts of Speech Pack
Teach or revise parts of speech in a fun way with this pack which includes posters and worksheets for nouns, adjectives, verbs, pronouns and adverbs..
It contains 9 worksheet pages (and a student cover page) that are packed to the brim with relevant, interesting and explicit learning opportunities. Each topic has two worksheets expect pronouns which has one.
It also comes with a 5 parts of speech posters that contain a definition. While examples of each are not included on the posters themselves a fun introductory lesson is brainstorming examples with the class and then hanging them from the posters.
Each worksheet starts with a definition and increases in difficulty so every student will be challenged.
I recommend when using these sheets as part of an introduction to parts of speech to go through questions one at a time with the class with examples on the board before allowing students to tackle that specific question on the worksheet individually.
When using as revision worksheets allow students to attempt all questions explaining that some of the questions are meant to be a bit of a challenge. All worksheets come with an answer key but many questions have multiple possible answers.
These worksheets are excellent revision prior to NAPLAN for year 3 and Year 5 students.
