This grammar set gives students 10 or more opportunities to edit simple sentences and decide whether the sentences need fixing or are already fantastic! This set has an opposites theme, so multiple common core standards are being addressed. After the editing, you can discuss antonyms as well!
*I use these grammar pages weekly in my classroom. Students get used to the format right away and slowly are able to do the editing on their own. The goal is that after so much practice editing students will look at their writing with a critical eye and transition into editing their work as well as peer editing.
Additionally, this set can serve as formative assessments for handwriting, word recognition, grammar, and understanding of opposite words.
THIS SET INCLUDES:
10 grammar practice pages (opposites theme)
1 blank grammar page so you can write additional sentences
Editor’s Checklist Classroom Poster
Personal Editor’s Checklist (copy 1 per student)
Common Core Standards are listed on each page.
