More Info:
These grammar practice resources teach your students how to correctly use some grammar patterns. They can be confusing for ELLs and the charts, worksheets, and task cards will give them practice in using the grammar structures. In addition, students will learn facts about Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa when using the If Then resource and facts about the animals of the Chinese Zodiac when using that resource.
Specifically:
* Many students don't know why they have to use much with some nouns but many with other nouns. The reasons depend on the noun being modified and the materials in this resource clearly explain the basic differences between 2 types of nouns, count and non-count nouns. The materials in this grammar practice resource come in printable and Google Drive versions.
* English Language Learners at an intermediate level of language proficiency frequently make errors when using did plus a verb when writing and speaking in the simple past tense. This resource includes 3 tasks that give students practice using this grammar structure. This grammar practice resource includes both printable and Google Drive versions.
* Do your students know how to write "If Then" sentences? These winter holiday task cards about Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa give students practice in forming conditional sentences correctly while simultaneously learning facts about these holidays.
* These task cards about the Chinese zodiac give students the chance to demonstrate their knowledge of grammar, capitalization, punctuation, and spelling. Each card has one sentence on it about 1 of the 12 animals of the Chinese zodiac but there is an error in the sentence. The task for students is to identify the type of error and then fix it so the sentence is written correctly.
