Grammar: Punctuation End Marks
Start off the school year by teaching children that when a person speaks or reads they learn to pause, or use their voice tones to help the listener understand what they are trying to say. Yet this simple understanding gives many children problems when writing. It is for this reason that clarification on the use of the following punctuation end marks and their keywords are necessary. These 3 posters are just what you need to help your children learn these important skills. Each punctuation end mark (question, exclamation, and question end marks using contractions) uses keywords in different colors. Each sheet may be used as a stand alone when teaching or may be added to anchor charts to allow easy student reference.
