New! Effective! Motivating! Easy to Use!
No time for grammar practice?
Use these effective and enjoyable stories as a supplement to regular English instruction. Better than a series of unrelated sentences, this set is an interesting, motivating, and effective grammar review.
It focuses on the most common errors in spelling, homophones, subject--verb agreement, apostrophe, capitalization, punctuation, comparative adjectives, irregular verbs and plurals, sentence fragments, and run-on sentences.
These 30-35 sentence stories can be used as homework, seatwork, in learning centers, and as preparation for state writing tests. Some parts of the SAT also use this format in an advanced form. Help your students practice the structure.
Simple to use and to grade, if desired, each sentence of the story has only one grammatical error. Students enjoy trying to find the errors, individually or in teams.
Every story includes an Answer Key, PLUS an explanation for each correction. An extra credit Writing Prompt and a Corrected Verson in paragraph form have been added.
Paper medals and a simple description for using these stories in teams are included.
