Grammar practice can be informative and fun!
Many students have no idea what careers might suit their individual interests and talents.
Instead of using sets of unrelated sentences, they can review spelling and grammar skills while learning about numerous job possibilities.
These are great grammar exercises for all students in grades 6-12, and even for community college classes.
The set is also a helpful review for state writing tests or final exams.
It includes a Venn diagram to help students contemplate "The Perfect Job."
This collection focuses academically on the most common errors in spelling, subject--verb agreement, apostrophe, capitalization, punctuation, irregular verbs and plurals, and homophones.
The stories can be used as homework, seatwork, or learning stations.
Simple to use and to grade, if desired, the stories have sentences with only one grammatical error in each sentence. Students enjoy the challenge of finding the errors, individually or in groups.
Each story fits on one, two-sided piece of paper. Every story includes an Answer Key, PLUS an explanation for each correction. A short writing prompt is included, as well as a corrected version in paragraph form.
For extra fun, a description of a team contest is added.
