Grammar practice can be helpful, informative, and fun!
Many students have no idea what careers might suit their individual interests and talents.
Instead of using a set of unrelated sentences, students can review spelling and grammar skills while learning about numerous job possibilities.
The set is also a useful review for state writing tests or final exams.
It includes a Venn Diagram to assist students in contemplating "The Perfect Job."
The exercises focus on the most common errors in spelling, subject--verb agreement, apostrophe, capitalization, punctuation, irregular verbs and plurals, and homophones.
The story can be used as homework, seat work, or in learning stations.
Simple to use and to grade, if desired, the story has 40 sentences with only one grammatical error in each sentence. Students enjoy the challenge of finding the errors, individually or in groups.
The story fits on one, two-sided piece of paper, and it includes an Answer Key, PLUS an explanation for each correction. A short Writing Prompt is added, as well as a Corrected Version in paragraph form.
This Grammar Story is the first story in the set
and is provided FREE as a sample of the collection.
