Included in this product are 35 grammar task cards to be used along with any text. These cards ask students to find examples of a certain grammar element in the text they have been reading. (The cards ask students to find examples of simple, compound or complex sentences, types of sentences, punctuation, dialogue, and many other grammar elements.)
I have used these in many different ways. One way is to use these after students finish a reading from a text of their choosing. I choose one of the cards and display it on the overhead. I then have students look in their book to find an example of this specific grammar element. If I use these with a whole class text, it serves as a great check for understanding and gives the opportunity for reteach, if necessary.
Another way to use these could be as a warm up or exit ticket. These work great in centers or station activities or as extra practice for early finishers or tutoring.
Helpful how tos:
Print this out in color if possible. It was designed to be printed in color, however, it will look fine in gray scale.
Laminate the cards. If your students love this activity as much as mine, you will be using this quite frequently.
