This French grammar worksheet is a great way for students to practice conjugating regular verbs in the passé composé past tense with "avoir."
Part one reminds student of the present tense conjugation of "avoir," while part two gives them practice forming past participles of regular -ER, -IR, and -RE verbs. Then in part three, students fill in the blanks with the correct passé composé forms of regular verbs.
In part four, students demonstrate their understanding of the passé composé tense by translating sentences into the various ways they could be expressed in English, such as "We won. / We have won. / We did win." Finally, they will translate past tense English sentences into French using the passé composé.
BONUS: This worksheet comes with an alternate version designed specifically for struggling students. While addressing the same concepts as the original version, this "Version 2" gives clues to struggling students and eliminates unnecessary variables in order to focus in on the essential elements of the lesson. It's great for INTERVENTIONS and DIFFERENTIATION!
Note: For users of the Bon Voyage level 1 textbook, this corresponds very well with Chapter 10 Structure. It also works well with Chapters 7-8 of Bien Dit level 1. In fact, it is a Word document that can easily be edited and adapted to any French textbook or curriculum.
