This French grammar worksheet is a great way for students to practice forming yes/no and information questions in all three methods - rise in intonation, est-ce que, and inversion. Students will also receive practice conjugating the irregular verbs "boire," "devoir," and "recevoir."
In part one, students translate English questions into French using all three methods - rise in intonation, est-ce que, and inversion. Next, they will read the French responses to unknown questions. They must determine what question was asked to elicit that response, and then they will write that question in French.
Finally, in part two, students will read sentences in French and decide whether they need a form of "boire," "devoir," or "recevoir" to fill in the blank. They will write the appropriate form of the correct verb, and then they will choose four of the sentences to translate into English.
Note: For users of the Bon Voyage level 1 textbook, this corresponds very well with Chapter 10 Structure, expanding the "qui, qu'est-ce que, quoi" section to incorporate all question words and formation. It also works well with Chapter 5 of Bien Dit level 1. In fact, it is a Word document that can easily be edited and adapted to any French textbook or curriculum.
