Grammar by the Month for August (4th Grade) is a set of worksheets that target specific 4th grade Common Core language standards, while including interesting historical or seasonal themes for the month of August.
Topics include capitals, punctuation, commas and quotations usage, relative pronouns, prepositions, frequently confused words (to/two/too practice), progressive verb tenses, modal auxiliaries, run on sentences and sentence fragments (CCRA.L.1A, 1B, 1C, 1E, 1F, 1G, 2A, 2B, and 2D).
Specifically this unit includes:
Table of contents listing standards and topics covered
1 student cover sheet (if you want to make it into a packet)
There are enough worksheets here to do three a week (maybe Monday, Wednesday, or Friday) for the entire month. They can be used as morning work, as a review, to reinforce new lessons, in centers, for small groups, for one on one help, or even as homework.
Topics are interesting for kids and thematic for the month of August, which makes it much more fun than your average grammar practice pages.
